EASIER WAY TO TRAVEL BY SUBWAY IN BUCHAREST
Since October 15, 2017, the company responsible for the underground transport in Bucharest decided to offer its clients new ways of get from one place to another in the Romanian capital. Thus, according to Metrorex, from now on, inhabitants, local and foreign tourists can use the access card available for only one trip, at 2,5 RON. Until now, one had to buy an access ticket to the subway network with 5 RON, for two trips. On the other hand, now you have alternatives. Since the summer of 2021, you can use the same ticket also for surface transport and subway transport. It is the Active Card where you can charge maximum 50 RON and which allows you to use both trams, buses, trolleys and metro for 3 RON and travel 90 minutes. After that, you have to validate your card again. If you are in the subway and those 90 minutes had passed, you need not to do anything. A NEW PASS AVAILABLE BOTH FOR SUBWAY AND BUSES IN BUCHAREST!

SEASON TICKETS AT BUCHAREST SUBWAY
If you need to stay in Bucharest for one year, there is also available the one-year access card. This season ticket for the subway is 720 RON and according to Metrorex using this card means you travel free for one and a half month, compared with the usual travel cards for one or two trips. There are also available the group cards for 3, 4 or 5 persons.

If you are in Bucharest with your friends or family and you want to visit the city using the underground transport, you should know that starting with October, 15, 2017, group access cards to subway railway are available. For 3 persons you will have to pay 5 RON, which is about 1 Euro. A travel ticket to Bucharest subway for 4 persons is 6,5 RON and one for 5 persons is 8 RON. There are also other cards available.
