Herastrau Park in Bucharest is the largest one in the capital of Romania, 110.000 square meters. It is a place to take a long and relaxing walk, to go to a concert or have a beer with friends, if you wonder what to do in Herastrau Park Bucharest.

At Charles de Gaulle entrance into Herastrau Park Bucharest, you will find a small bike center where you can take a bike for 2 or 3 euros for one hour or for the whole day.

You are welcomed in Herastrau Park in Bucharest by a monumental bronze, statue of Charles De Gaulle. Then you can see the caryatids on the Caryatids Alley.

with her and she didn’t know whom to chose to be her husband. So, she jumped in a lake and the one who was to save her, would be the lucky man. The two brothers started a fight and the young woman drowned.

The two brothers were changed to statues that can be seen in Carol Park.

But before you do that, make sure you visited The Japanese Garden and took picture of the cherry trees where you can make a wish.

The park is a safe place. There are guardians and there is also police on horse-back. For children but not only, a small train is at your disposal for a quick trip around.

You are not allowed to swim in the lake but you can get a cold drink in hot summer at Hard Rock Cafe or H Beer house.
