NEW FARES TO VISIT HOUSE OF PEOPLE IN BUCHAREST 

In 2021, finally, the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest is open for visitors. There are new entrance fees and new rules for tourists due to covid-19 pandemics. So, if you want to visit the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest, or House of People as it is very well-known, you should know that you have many offers and different fares. So, in 2021, you will have to pay for:

STANDARD TOURS:

  • Adults:       40 lei/person
  • Students:   20 lei/person (19 – 26 years old, with a valid student ID)
  • Children:    10 lei/person (7 – 18 years old)

Standard + Underground Tour (access 2 floors on stairs)

  • Adults:       45 lei/person
  • Students:   23 lei/person (19 – 26 years old, with a valid student ID)
  • Children:    15 lei/person (7 – 18 years old)

Panoramic Tour – Terrace (lift access)

  • Maximum 6 people/group
  • Admission price: 600 lei/tour

Standard Tour Package 35

  • Admission price: 1400 lei/tour

Standard + Underground Tour Package 35

  • Admission price: 1575 lei/tour

The best tour we recommend is the Standard and Underground Tour Package for there are many interesting things to see in this huge building. We’ll make a second post about our visiting House of People in 2021 as soon as possible.

  • Bookings for 1 to 9 people can be made only by phone, 24 hours prior to the visit, between 09:00 – 16:00, at the following telephone numbers: + 40 733 558 102 or +40 733 558 103.
  • Access is permitted only with a valid national identity card (ID card or passport).
  • Visiting hours:
    • March – October, daily between 09:00 – 17:00 (last tour at 16:30)
    • November – February, daily between 10:00 – 16:00 (last tour at 15:30)​

RULES FOR VISITING BUCHAREST PARLIAMENT DURING COVID PANDEMIC

  1. It is mandatory to wear mask when entering the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest.
  2. Due to security reasons there is no storage space or wardrobe available.
  3. Due to security reason, please do not leave your luggage unattended.
  4. No guns allowed, not even tear gas.
  5. You are not allowed to leave the group or the visiting route inside the building.
  6. You are not allowed to drink alcohol or to smoke.

PAY MORE TO VISIT PALACE OF PARLIAMENT IN BUCHAREST

The Deputy Chamber of the Romanian Parliament decided that tourists will pay more to visit the headquarters of the Parliament in Bucharest. The new tariffs will be paid since July 1, 2018. What does this mean?

TICKETS TO VISIT THE ROMANIAN PARLIAMENT

Since July 1, 2018, for a visit to the Romanian Palace of Parliament, or House of People as it is known, built by Nicolae Ceausescu quickly in the 80s’, before the revolution and his death, you will have to pay 40 RON for an adult standard tour. Now, it is only 35 RON. 40 RON means less than 1 Euro. If you want to visit the underground part of this huge building, you will have to buy tickets for the entire tour which is 45 RON and not 40 as it is today. CHILDREN AND STUDENTS TICKETS FOR PARLIAMENT IN BUCHAREST

Students between 19 and 26 years old will no longer pay for a standard tour 18 RON as they should pay today, but 20 RON, which is about 50 Euro-cents. If the tour includes a quick view in the underground of the ex-communist power, the ticket is 23 RON, not 19 as it is today. Visiting the House of People in Bucharest or the Palace of Parliament is no longer free for children. The tax for photo and video, which was 30 RON was abolished, being included in the ticket. Don’t forget, inside the Palace of Parliament, you can also visit the Contemporary Art Museum in Bucharest where you can see collections and exhibits from nowadays artists.
