Don’t get to close to wild animals. There are electric fences and although they look friendly, some of the mammals might be dangerous.
Exotic species are also to be found in Bucharest Zoo. There are mammals and birds which are alright here. This is a bald eagle. He didn’t like to see us, as far as I remember. See him on YOUTUBE CHANNEL BUCHAREST TRAVEL.

WHAT TO SEE AROUND
The Bucharest Zoo was included in Zoo Year Book, edited by Zoological Society of London in 1962. It will take you about 2 hours to visit the entire Garden. After that, you might like to have a beer, not a bear, across the Zoo.
There are a few pubs and in summer it is a pleasure to enjoy a little fresh air and eat some TRADITIONAL FOOD or, simply, have a cup of coffee. We visited the Zoo again in September, and we can tell you that the weather in September in Bucharest is the best to go around the area.
