ROMANIA NATIONAL DAY PARADE IN BUCHAREST 2016

Bucharest is the host of the greatest military parade in Romania on National Day, the 1st of December every year. This year, 2016, is special for Bucharest. Because the parade, which means 3,000 soldiers and about 50 airplanes and helicopters in the sky, will take place around the ARCH OF TRIUMPH IN BUCHAREST.

The monument has been for more than 2 years under re-construction due to its infrastructure problems, safety four tourists and so on. 

ELITE ARMIES ON BUCHAREST STREETS ON DECEMBER 1, 2016

All high officials usually assist the army parade and the ceremony in Bucharest and so it was in 2016 on Romania National Day. There will be no place for politicians who face legal charges, like the second man as importance in the state hierarchy, the Senate president or other political leaders like social-democrats, ex-PM and so on.  The president said there are well-known attitudes in the North-Atlantic Alliance countries for politicians who must give legal explanations to prosecutors, to step back from political elite at least for a while. This should happen in Romania said the President Klaus Iohannis. 

ROMANIA NATIONAL DAY

On December, 1, every year, Romania celebrates the great union of the Romanian provinces after the WW 1, in 1918. In 2016, it is the 98th anniversary of the Romanian unite state, as it is written in the Constitution of Romania. As it usually happens, on December 1, a parade is organized by the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Interior Affairs, Intelligence and other force structures of the state. A ceremony where most important figures of the political scene, friends, foreign partners are invited, is also held.

THE PARADE AT THE ARCH OF TRIUMPH IN BUCHAREST 2016

Romania entered WW 1 exactly 100 years ago, in 1916. That is the reason the parade in 2016 at the Arch of Triumph in Bucharest is so important. After the Romanian President arrival at the Arch of Triumph, different armies are to march under this symbol of triumph and victory. The Infantry first of all, a battalion who has accomplished a mission this year in Afghanistan is the first, followed by the detachment of soldiers who suffered wounds in the battlefields. Romania lost 28 soldiers in humanitarian or peace keeping missions in the Middle East and 150 were wounded.

For the first time on December 1, a German unit Army is present in Bucharest on Romania National Day. Of, course, the division for the S-E Europe of the NATO marches under the Arch of Triumph. Poland, Moldova, Italy, Slovakia, Spain, Great Britain or the US Marines and Romanian different armies will also march in the center of Bucharest in 2016 for the national day.
